Mr Fish, are you the one who goes on other teams sites, winds them up and then reports back to your site in the thread "Gone Fishing" or something? I cant remember the website, like.

Edit: Toontastic i think it is.

I honestly never intend to wind people up, but yeah that's me.

Cheers for all the answers lads. I totally understand why Everton fans would think Pardew is a prick. He is after all a prick. I'm hoping that nonsense he said about "a different league" was a ill-conceived ploy to motivate our squad (didn't work), because if he genuinely believes it... why then his levels of delusion are staggering. I'd love a change of manager, and the majority of you are right when you say Kinnear's appointment is most likely a way to force Pardew's exit. End of the day though, under this owner it'll take something special to challenge for Europe and the best we can expect will be top half. Ashley couldn't give a toss about Europe (as proven by last season), he couldn't give a monkey's about trophies, and as long as we finish 17 and above he's happy. He'll not give Pardew and Carr the kind of funds that would see establish ourselves as a top half club again and Pardew is incapable of doing that without the funds. I'd love to see a Laudrupp, or Martinez... even giving someone like Meulensteen a shot. But no, it's Ashley, it's Kinnear and it's Pardew for the foreseeable future and the mediocre midtable finished that they bring.

For what it's worth I occasionally lurk on here, just to get a view of the football world from a different perspective (I do the same on Glory Glory & Red Cafe), especially when something "big" happens. The Suarez incidents, Kinnear's appointment, Mourinho's return and that kind of thing. Found this place decent craic and once you strip away the pre-match banter with opposition fans that appear a lot of you have a similar approach to supporting your side as we do to ours. We love our clubs, but hate them at the same time. They are a source of boundless joy and endless disappointment.

I'll no-doubt be back during the season to bore the **** out of you with another survey pre-match. You got any advice for next time?

Once again, cheers for all the answers. I'll be putting them on TT at some point before the season starts and I'll put a link to it here when I do.

Thats interesting and candid re Pardew mate. Stick around, we are a pretty friendly bunch.

I honestly never intend to wind people up, but yeah that's me.
I thought so. Im sure its not your M.O to wind people up, just seemed to remember the name.
Anyway, stick around mate, we enjoy an outside perspective and you appear a good sort.

What's a realistic aim for your team this season?
Top 8. (New manager in his first year.)

Where do your team need to strengthen to achieve this?
We need a commanding central midfielder and some more squad depth.

Which new Premier League players are you looking forward to seeing?
van Wolfswinkle and Fer at Norwich.

Which of your players do you predict having a big season?
Kevin Mirallas.

Which of your players do you expect to have a disappointing season?
Tim Howard won't keep his place if he clangs it now that we have Joel and Moyes isn't the boss.

Which fixtures do you immediately look for?
Liverpool home and away, first 5 games, last 10 games and Christmas period.

Which away game are you looking forward to the most/least?
Most: Liverpool away now that we may go there and take the game to them rather than the yearly capitulation that became the norm under Moyes.

Least: Man Utd now that there'll be a Moyes fanfare.

What's your most memorable game against NUFC?
Home last year. 2-2 that should have been 4-2. Then the away game for *that* Baines free kick.

Newcastle have been in the papers for all the wrong reasons again, what's your take on the Kinnear debacle?
Mike Ashley making a holy show of your club by trying to force the manager out without paying up to sack him.

Which Newcastle players would you like to see in your side?
Krul, Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Tiote.

Pardew winds up quite a few opposition managers, what's your take on him? Is he just playing games? Or is he an Average/Bad manager with a mouth?
Absolute cretin. Found out as a joker in every job he's had. Bad attitude with nothing to back it up.

Where do you expect Newcastle to finish this season?

Top end of the bottom half. Too many good players to be in any real danger.

Making your club even more of a laughing stock - but not too bothered to be honest.

Pardew winds up quite a few opposition managers, what's your take on him? Is he just playing games? Or is he an Average/Bad manager with a mouth?

West Ham usually a good one

2-1 win 2 years ago when osman and jags scored. first year up at uni there broke a 10 year losing streak on your patch. Could of been by a lot more.

Where do you expect Newcastle to finish this season?

Thanks in advance for any and all answers. I'll be back here to collate them before sticking them on a Newcastle site before the season kicks off.[/QUOTE]

What's a realistic aim for your team this season?

Battle for a european spot, have a good run in the FA cup, get to the semi's hopefully

Where do your team need to strengthen to achieve this?

Think we will need someone on the left because Pienaar will be 32 this season and won't have too many games left I feel. Also could do with an attacking midfielder as well.

Which new Premier League players are you looking forward to seeing?

For us, our new signings, Delofeu more so seeing as he's someone I haven't seen play before. Elsewhere, Fer for Nowrich, Negredo and Navas for City.

Which of your players do you predict having a big season?

If Mirallas keeps up his form from last season and doesn't get injured, he will be a key player for us.

Which of your players do you expect to have a disappointing season?

Jelavic, feel he will continue the way he did last season.

Which fixtures do you immediately look for?

1st and last games of the season, the derby and the christmas fixtures

Which away game are you looking forward to the most/least?

Most: Would be one of the London aways, but might not be doing them this year.
Least: Stoke, even without Pulis, I doubt there'd be much change in style of play there.

What's your most memorable game against NUFC?

Probably the 3-0 against you 06/07, mainly because it was my first game that I remember. Had been to games before that, but they were 5/6 years prior and I was too young to remember. Also that penalty miss from Ameobi? still sticks out for me.

Newcastle have been in the papers for all the wrong reasons again, what's your take on the Kinnear debacle?

Laughable really, don't know what Ashley was upto when making that appointment.

Which Newcastle players would you like to see in your side?

Wouldn't mind Ben Arfa and Krul
Pardew winds up quite a few opposition managers, what's your take on him? Is he just playing games? Or is he an Average/Bad manager with a mouth?

Can't stand him, espcially with the quote he made about Newcastle being in a different league to Everton, a season or so later, he was almost correct with that statment.

Where do you expect Newcastle to finish this season?

Best you can go for would be mid-table, but it will be a season of struggle for yous.

All right lads, in preparation for the new season I thought I'd get the lay of the land from Premier League clubs before it kicks off and the majority of us are too depressed to answer a bunch of questions from a stranger.

Which fixtures do you immediately look for? Liverpool and man utd

Which away game are you looking forward to the most/least? Liverpool for both.

What's your most memorable game against NUFC? Quater final fa cup 95. I lived in Newcastle at the time. How I laughed at my mates as we won 1-0.

Newcastle have been in the papers for all the wrong reasons again, what's your take on the Kinnear debacle? Baffling. If it was Everton we wouldn't stand for it. Simple.

Which Newcastle players would you like to see in your side? I like cabaye and krul. S Taylor is underrated IMO.

Pardew winds up quite a few opposition managers, what's your take on him? Is he just playing games? Or is he an Average/Bad manager with a mouth? He's an idiot. The only prem manager I dislike.
