That's from 4 months ago , the other story didnt break in the news until around a month ago.

Plus why wouldn't it just go away now? The Chinese spy story from Weinstein just went away and God forbid if someone more media famous had that story ran against them they would be front page news daily. After all the democratic propaganda of trump and the Russians ran for months on end.

Nobody’s talking about when the story broke, but about when she came forward.

And... you do realise that there has never been any implication that’s Feinstein (not Weinstein- Freudian slip there with Kavanaugh on your mind?) was working WITH (as in in cahoots with) the Chinese and/or their spy, right?

Chinese and Russian spies have infiltrated into many government offices, including Dems and Republicans. It is not news because it can happen to any congressman/government official independent of party affiliation. The Trump-Russia thing is in the news because there was an ostensible dialogue (collusion) between his people and Russians. There is a big difference between having a spy in your office and being unaware of it, and colluding with a foreign power to sway an election.

On this, I partly agree. I don't think there will be much of a Democratic sweep next month, but I also don't think it is the Democrats fault; more that there is a bizarre tide of angry xenophobic me-first-ism sweeping the planet.

There’s a big difference between now and 2016 though - engagement.

Back then most thought there wasn’t a snowball’s chance in hell of Trump winning. Now it’s reality and people can’t ignore it.

I think that's a valid question.
I think there'll be a lot of change after the mid terms. I'd say therell be a move against Pelossi in the house.
I'm not so sure about the senate as anyone with the ability to take over from Schumer wont want the thankless task as they will be eyeing a presidential run.
Schumer is about as effective as a chocolate tea pot but I dont see him going anywhere till 2020.

Perhaps, though the point with that is that he’s already won - Gorsuch and Kavanaugh already picked, NAFTA and Paris in the bin, the UN without money, the embassy in Jerusalem. He did a speech a couple of nights ago under a banner of “Promises made, promises delivered” and in terms of his horrifying base he has done that. If the Dems plan to get votes on the basis that he has to be stopped then this may not go well for them.

Please remember to put an asterisk next to Gorsuch and Kavanaugh's names regarding their confirmations. They were both confirmed under a whole new set of rules that Mitch McConnell made up.

I suppose a whole new set of rules could be used to impeach them both in the near future...or even the president.
