As I said, this goes further than 'just' sexual assault, but covers issues affecting women generally. This recent study from Vanderbilt found a clear divide between how Republican supporters and Democrat supporters viewed any kind of discrimination against women - https://www.futurity.org/gender-balanced-legislatures-democracy-1877252-2/

It showed that the mere presence of a woman on the legislature committee was enough to sway people, so the views of the president are certain to. Indeed, I'm surprised that Darren is shocked by this as Jordan Peterson has predicted a backlash by white men who are not quite as privileged (but still more so than any other group) as they previously were for a while now.
Speaking of Jordan he seems to be getting ratioed by those very same people

So women of America need to take over... get the misogynists out of The Senate and replace them with... women.. then we'll see the (unacceptable female anatomy swearword (plural)) squirm.. Don't get mad, don't get even, get ahead - and make sure the biggest one of them all - President ***T Rump is out of office by January 2021.

I think the republicans could be badly miscalculating this.
It puts right wing moderates in the Trump camp. There'll be a fierce backlash from the women of America, and rightly so.

Wishful thinking, Ruari.

The women of America had a chance to strangle this monster at birth after the bus episode with Billy Bush.

Billy got fired from his job.....but not enough American women were outraged enough to vote against Trump.

Now his evil doing will live on long after him.

What we are watching is the death of liberal America.

I think there’s a big difference in that in 2016 no one really thought he was going to win.

Now it’s real. The motivation is (hopefully) much stronger.

That's pretty much what I'm saying, yes. Your original assertion was that women would be less like to get justice/report in sexual assault matters under this administration.

So your logic is because of actions committed, or alleged to have been committed by Trump that he hasn't been punished for, then:

1) Women who have been sexually assaulted and may be struggling if they want to go to the local police and file a complaint are less likely to do so. (Because of this administration)

2) And if she does report it she is less likely to get justice because
- Police won't take it as seriously (Because of this administration)
- The district attorney will be less likely to file charges (Because of this administration)
- The judge will be more pro-defendant when it comes to rulings, motions, suppression, what the jury can/can not see or hear as evidence (Because of this administration)
- The jury will be less likely to listen to the case put forth by both the prosecution and the defense and impartially deiced if the burden of proof is met (Because of this administration)
- And if the defendant is found guilty, the judge will likely be lenient (Because of this administration)
This is assumed in New York, Montana, Alaska, Georgia, New Mexico and all states in between. From Berkley, CA to Bangor, ME to Pensacola, FL to Topeka, KS. Not only GOP males, but also Democrat males, as well as female cops, DA's, judges, and jurist that may or may not be of color. Regardless of education level, income level, sexual orientation, political affiliation or age they will collectively be less likely to provide justice to a woman who is a victim of sexual assault.
Because of this administration.

I find that preposterous.

I don't. In more than a few African nations, the tone set by the government is explicitly anti-gay and therefore most people are closeted. In Sweden, the government is not homophobic and people are openly gay. It doesn't seem preposterous, at least to me, that across all levels of government the legal, moral, and psychological tone set by an administration is going to influence people's behavior in subtle ways, some of which could contribute to a decision of not reporting a sex crime. (And it is worth remembering that Trump's rhetoric on the campaign trail has been linked to increased bouts of racism--in the name of Trump--as well as violence). Under-reporting and non-reporting of sexual harassment/sexual assault is commonplace and one of the psychological variables that contributes to this non-reporting is a lack of confidence in the system. Certainly it would be difficult to draw a tidy causative line between Trump and whether a woman reports or doesn't report a rape in some particular US county, but Trump's disgraceful mocking behavior, coupled with a supreme court judge who was appointed despite the fact that a good number of Republican senators believe the testimony of his accuser, doesn't give one confidence in the system that reporting such things will be taken seriously. So rather than have a president who sets the tone that sexual harassment/assault is destructive and dehumanizing and should be punished, we have one who is accused of sexual assault, talks about grabbing women by the p****y, and appoints a judge whose testimony against him by Dr. Ford is more believed than his own defensive counter-testimony...but yet still is rewarded with a promotion. How is this helpful to victims of sexual assault? People who work with sexual assault victims know the psychological obstacles in the way in terms of victims coming forward. Trump's comments could easily contribute to preventing them from doing so.

Roy Moore got 60% of the white women vote in the senate race. If you don't think that there are plenty of women out there who support Kavanaugh and think that Dr. Ford got what she deserved you are living in a bubble.

I do think that is the case... until today. You will see a sea-change in the way in which people react and get out and vote. You will see the likes of Collins well and truly dumped and she won't be alone. Trump will look back on this day as the moment he lost the 2020 election.

Source for that data?
What % of white males?
Specifically white male republicans?
