It's not tho', is it? That's you & everyone on your side of the debate misrepresenting. Hence the (arguably deserved) Schadenfreude, which is focussed on the Democrats losing again rather than a woman's alleged suffering from 40 years ago.

Do you really mean to tell me that because I'm not convinced BK committed sexual assault from the facts available to me, that I honestly take joy in the suffering of sexual assault survivors? That's exactly what I think you said, but I'll hold judgement until you confirm it one way or the other.

Given that the Republican President spent about 10mins mocking such a survivor, and was accompanied by laughter from a horde of Republicans, and given the glee and vitriol being directed in Ford’s direction (and that of the other accusers)... it’s hardly a stretch.

But for the record, I don’t believe I so much as addressed you. I have no earthly idea who you are, to be honest.

They get blamed because this has all happened under their watch, with no evidence that they have learned how to stop it. To quote Leo Amery quoting Cromwell - "You have sat too long here for any good you have been doing. Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go!"

I think Leahy’s data was a very confusing argument to break down into easily digestible media soundbites even prior to the sexual abuse allegations and I think that after Dr Fords name became public there was even less chance even if they had been better at messaging it would be paid attention to. The Whitewater investigations of Bill Clinton never got anywhere close to the coverage of Paula Jones and Trump’s taxes have got far less attention than Stormy Daniels.

I think the Dems tried in the gap the FBI investigation gave them to discuss Kav’s misrepresentation under oath of his drinking, which is a much simpler issue than say warrantless wiretapping to convey, but it didn’t seem to persuade Collins/Flake/Corker at all.

Suffering BEGINS with the assault.

It doesn’t come close to ending with it.

I focused on the part of your post that I found most pressing.

Maybe you should put your oh-so-important “point” in bold, in each of your posts, because then the rest of us wouldn’t have to dig around for it, and you wouldn’t have to spend half your time whinging about others not responding to the parts that you deign should be responded to.
