It does. Looks like a Manchin for Murkowski swap to avoid the "vote by party lines" stamp in the history books. It'll matter eighty years from now. Maybe it does now. I'm happy to see the swap, myself.

If I was in WV, that would get my vote over his rival. Joe Manchin is a talented politician.

As I stated originally I don't know all the details and I don't know if he is innocent or guilty. But from an outsider perspective it all seems far too convenient from the accusation to the timing to hold real truth. Especially when it's not like Brett has come from nowhere, he has always held a powerful position and yet not a public word about it. Trump is involved though and things change considerably.

They need to prove him guilty , simply because it backs feminists anti men agenda which is now woefully misguided to form a mob mentality in my opinion. Because that is the issue in my mind, women should have full support to be able to come forward , but when it costs a whole sex their potential innocence until proven guilty then that's when it needs to be looked at by everyone

Personally I don’t find the timing particularly suspicious.

Not only did Dr Ford make her initial report when the judge was only one of three shortlisted but even if she had waited until it was definitely him then I can understand why that was a trigger to finally come forward, he was up for a lifetime appointment to the highest court in the land. FWIW I take the same view on people who step forward against those that I am primed to like, I just don’t think “politics” is enough of a motivation to get you to upend your life like that.

edit: and warren said that the FBI documents contradict what Kavanaugh said under oath.
