Think she’s gonna win isn’t she? Horrible personHa Ha Boebert is likely gonna lose her seat, that is so funny
Last I saw she's down 2K votes with 92% of the vote counted.Think she’s gonna win isn’t she? Horrible person
She's caught up from 10,000 @ 93%, the final votes to come in are mostly from Republican-heavy areas. She'll probably cling on, the repulsive creature.Last I saw she's down 2K votes with 92% of the vote counted.
It's possible she's out
Following up: 9.6 million registered voters in Texas and another 1.4 million who are eligible but didn't bother to register did not vote in the midterms. That's 11 million total who did not participate. Just over 9 million actually voted. But I live in a state that's uninterested in politics, generally speaking, as a pathetic % of people vote and those who do are easily swayed by stupid slogans ("don't California Texas" when, in fact, a majority of people from CA who move here are right-leaning) or the latest cultural outrage (the libs are gonna transgender your kid and teach them CRT!!). I'm feeling too old these days to try and change much here. In the future, my efforts will be elsewhere. Especially if my youngest decides to practice medicine elsewhere.
That's truly shocking in this political climateFollowing up: 9.6 million registered voters in Texas and another 1.4 million who are eligible but didn't bother to register did not vote in the midterms. That's 11 million total who did not participate. Just over 9 million actually voted.
Pathetic.
Looks like he is going to tryI don’t think there’s any way he would make it through the primaries but Larry Hogan would be an interesting candidate.
Popular, two-term Republican governor in a state that has a very strong Democratic lean. Takes some political skill and talent to do that
He'll have clear sailing in 2028. Don't forget Trump got terrible candidates like Vance, Lake (probably) elected and almost got epically bad candidates like Walker (still might) and Oz elected in the purple states. He still owns the party. He (DeSantis) will never get a better chance than 2024 though for the general, and he knows (or at least gives the impression that he knows) the cheat codes for Trump.
Also the 2024 race is probably going to be dominated by "old" as a big negative. If DeSantis runs, Trump can make up all manner of silly names and have his lackeys release all manner of slanders; all DeSantis has to do is repeat "Donald will be 78 at the next election". Trump will say or do something that makes him sound senile, just as he did earlier in his 70s and it will stick.
That said, I still think there is a reasonable chance that Ivanka stands instead of Donald.
