I don’t disagree, but it speaks to the MUCH larger problem that a not-insignificant number of Americans walk into the polls and cast their votes largely based on the cost of a gallon of gas that particular week.Biden’s in a difficult position tbh as he can’t be seen to be powerless against the likely increase in oil prices,
This was more or less SE Cupp's point, except that she's saying, "It's not the economy, stupid."I don’t disagree, but it speaks to the MUCH larger problem that a not-insignificant number of Americans walk into the polls and cast their votes largely based on the cost of a gallon of gas that particular week.
There. Is. No. Threshold.I'm starting to wonder where the threshold is for blatant lying to be disqualifying. I mean, there's lying and then there's lying that is easily disproved.
In another era, he would just withdraw his candidacy rather than keep doubling down.
So the problem here isn't just that he's a liar. Many politicians are. It's that he's an utter idiot about lying. Bill Clinton was an 8/10 on the moron lies scale when he denied having sex with Monica Lewinsky. One glance at her, interacted with his history, made it very obvious that he did have sexual relations with that woman. The lie at least had plausible deniability, though.There. Is. No. Threshold.
They care nothing about morals, ethics, etc. Only about winning. Yesterday, groups of “Christians” were leading prayer vigils for God to intercede on behalf of a deadbeat, abusive father who also paid for at least one abortion so that an actual Reverend doesn’t hold onto his Senate seat. Call me cynical, but I just can’t see them drawing a line in the sand at this point.
There is no bottom for today's GOPSo the problem here isn't just that he's a liar. Many politicians are. It's that he's an utter idiot about lying.
