Tbh both Dems and GOP can be pretty selective on when they prefer federalism to state’s rights but the swiftness of the GOP U turn on this issue is pretty noticeable.
Also their “yeah of course a federal ban is what we want but don’t say it out loud before the midterms you moron” is being very clearly articulated.

There's a decent argument against the seizure of the phone of a member of Congress engaged in official duties...unless there's hard evidence of corruption.
The implication would seem to be that there is hard evidence of corruption.
