If the FBI does not have evidence sufficient to get a warrant to seize the Congressperson's phone, I'd agree with Gohmert.There's a decent argument against the seizure of the phone of a member of Congress engaged in official duties...unless there's hard evidence of corruption.
The implication would seem to be that there is hard evidence of corruption.
1) I highly doubt the FBI went off the reservation here.
2) It would not surprise me one bit if Gohmert gets a visit from the FBI on matters very similar to those which have Rep. Perry under investigation.
