I wouldn't say he was consumed with "hate" and that word is being used very loosely these days. He seemed to be admit that homosexuality is a sin, which is backed factually by the scriptures but ultimately admitted that God has the final say on the matter and whether if any, punishment will come about it. God is the one who decides the fate of everybody.

The guy is from Texas so his views are pretty in line with the people of that state.

If God decides and doles out the punishment, how's it any of that clown's business?

Scriptures are the word of God. They aren't social commentary. Religious scriptures have shaped the modern western civilization and our basic morals and values. We can't just disregard the religious scriptures now, after being so influential in our society for so long.

Why not? They were written to govern a social order from before people knew the world was round. Why stop there? We could use the scriptures of Roman or Greek gods! Why is the one you like the best?

But at the same time, you can't be making statements like "god is not real" with your chest and not expect some form of backlash or response imo.

You raised the issue of religion in this thread and then claim you are offended when people disagree with you about it. I think belief in god, scriptures etc. is a load of baloney and I could easily claim to be as offended as you are. I'm not religious, though, and believe this makes me more tolerent of other people's views than someone like yourself. Stop behaving like a snowflake.

I'm not sure he is.
He holds very different views to me but actually, on the whole, he's been quite respectful.
although, posting this fella on youtube and condoning him is sailing very close to homophobia.
You can boil the Bible down to two points.
-Treat others like you would like to be treated
- be nice to your neighbor.

edit. I just watched that vid and he calls people out for boiling the bible down to "love thy neighbor". Happy he's upset with the likes of me, and also that he confirmed my opinion that he's hate filled.

Why can’t people have their own beliefs emir? Religious conflict has resulted in the death of millions throughout history. You believe what you believe. Others have the right to do the same.
