I think that's the best way forward and I agree with your point. However, you must understand that theists have a deep relationship with God and their faith, so any sort of opinion that goes against their faith, will be bound to cause issues. Whereas an atheist's views are likely going to be with much less attachment or emphasis of any emotions. There is no equivalence.

Yep, people like Emir think they are part of the solution but they are part of the problem. When those children were murdered we didn't hear him express much sympathy for them, instead we were treated to the fact that the two parents who died "were in a better place" and other ignorant ramblings about the 2A. Emir has all the trappings of a precocious evangelical home-schooled 14yr-old: blithely self-righteous, massively ignorant, and socially clueless.
