DeSantis is going full dictator down there. Yesterday he vetoed the public portion of the funding for the Tampa Rays new training facility based on this egregiously "woke" tweet from last week.

Rays in the news here as well. Bit like the Gana PSG situation where he refused to wear the rainbow number. Freedom of expression for these players or something else?

I think it's worth pointing out that you're seeing the same behavior from both the left and the right here. Gana is being punished to intimidate players who might otherwise refuse to wear a symbol for things they do not believe in. He is effectively being told that he must speak out in favor of something, as are any observers.

DeSantis is punishing the Rays for speaking their minds on an issue, to intimidate other organizations and companies that might also speak out on the issue. They are being told that if they are taking the state's money, they had better walk the line on whatever the present government wants them to say, or not say.

It really is Orwell's 1984, with the only difference in the West being that people have a choice between two dogmatic sets of beliefs promulgated by different media outlets to choose from. I suppose this is progress as compared to burning heretics at the stake during the Inquisition, but it's also a substantial step back from where we were fifty years ago.

I'm generally fine with allowing bigots to out themselves in these ways and then letting the market dictate the repercussions. I don't know what, if any, endorsements they have, but I'd expect they won't find many legitimate businesses willing to touch them going forward. Maybe MyPillow is looking for some new spokesmen.

What’s your take on this vid Emir?
Well I'm a big fan of the video creator "Cassady Campbell" and I've been hooked on his videos for some time now, as he makes some quality videos. He has become more religious in recent times and he has formed a closer relationship with God, hence he made that video I linked. I think the video is normal and it's a normal citizen who is expressing his views.

Well, he seems pretty consumed with hate.
he Seemed more intent in picking a fight and upsetting people.
‘I’m not telling you anything I’m just an interviewer but you’re a bunch of sinners’
i thought the blond woman did a good job trying to reason with unreasonable.

I wouldn't say he was consumed with "hate" and that word is being used very loosely these days. He seemed to be admit that homosexuality is a sin, which is backed factually by the scriptures but ultimately admitted that God has the final say on the matter and whether if any, punishment will come about it. God is the one who decides the fate of everybody.

The guy is from Texas so his views are pretty in line with the people of that state.

Not with the Texans I know But it’s a big place.

Seems about split on gay marriage and more for “should be accepted” so those that believe “homosexuality is a sin” would presumably be a minority even in Texas
