Either way, Flakes role in this is far from over. He looked shook today.

If the FBI report comes back neutral then that's Flake go ahead to vote yes. That's effectively why he's done it - to cover his own arse.

Same with the others. Trump should be on bended knee to Flake for this as it means it might actually get through the senate now, whereas the political pressure to say no to him on some Republicans given he'd shirked a proper investigation over attempted rape would have been huge.

Yeah, hearing rumours that at least Lisa M (that she won a write in campaign with such a hard to remember/spell surname shows just how much clout she has!) has gone to Mcconnell to say she supports Flake propsal.

The correct result came in. One remains hopeful that sanity and decency will soon return to the Dems - and indeed their myopic fanatics - and they will stop putting innocent people into the mire in the name of politics.
