I’ll try this again, as there seems to be a lack of interest in the Afghanistan thread. Do any Americans in here have any views regarding the absolute shambles and calamity caused by Biden as a result of his decisions over Afghanistan…

Wow... what a leading question... every president since Bush bares some responsibility. And this was all set in place by Trump... I know you've seen the tweets and comments all over he has made about he'd have been out by like may 31st or whatever. Of course before the nature in which the pull out was executed resulted in the shambles as you accurately put it.

Sorry, not a Biden supporter, just saw this as a complete mischarecterization of how events unfolded.

And @Rook I agree with a lot of what you said, however, this country has always treated immigrants like [Poor language removed]. It's not a new thing, the Irish, the Germans, Italians, Japanese, Vietnamese, Koreans... all unfortunately took their lumps when they were the "newer" demographic.

Absolutely shocking, hopefully the Supreme court does put a halt to it soon, although we all know where it looks like its heading, the overturning of Roe v Wade Imagine the fear women have there now

I bet the anti vaxxers, my body, my choice crowd arnt shouting now

More Religious Extremists. No different from the Taliban

So very backwards.
It's worse than backward. It's unleashing Soviet-style culture in the United States. Let me explain...

If I find out my neighbor took a taxi to an abortion provider I can sue my neighbor, the taxi driver, the clinic where the abortion was performed and the medical provider and receive up to $10,000 in compensation from the State of Texas if the abortion was performed after six weeks of pregnancy.

If I find out the same taxi driver took my neighbor to the Federal Building where my neighbor commits an act of terrorism - no such ability to sue or receive compensation.

Nor should there be. In either case. Except for the American Taliban (Evangelical white people) losing their goddamn minds.

Yes, it is. But I'm told I just need to sit down and listen to these people so I can understand them.

A big ol' chunk of them were (rightly) wailing about the rights of women in Afghanistan in the last week. Nary a damned peep from them about this affront to women's rights here in the good ol' US of A.
