It's so sad.It seems that's the GOP's strategy to blame the mob on Pelosi just because they are too scare too blame Trump and risk angering his followers. Lie after lie it just doesn't stop. No wonder half of the US lives in an alternative reality
I understand your sadness and relate to your situation. My mother-in-law, a woman that has been like my second mom for 26 years is a staunch Trump supporter and has been believing his lies for years. Her continue support towards Trump has deteriorated our relationship a lot. It is indeed very disheartening that families had been torn apart because some of those we love have become victims of misinformation and lies so much that they are now brainwashed
Tbf I have a hard time having any form of sympathy towards his deaths. I dislike that I have become so cold but after so many deaths of people that were actually playing by the rules, using face mask, keeping social distancing,etc, then I can't find empathy for someone like him.
I've asked repeatedly to prior I know why they think Trump, born in to obscene wealth, who loved in a NYC high rise and had a literal gold toilet, who bankrupted everything he's ever had a hand in, would care in the slightest about them. Never have gotten one answer for the most part. One said back "you think Obama would care about you?" to which I said simply "yeah. It's called empathy. That's among the most puzzling aspects for me. How his supporters were fool into thinking that Trump care about their well-being when his main interest has always been to look after himself, not the people that voted form him, not his country, not the constitution, not the GOP but it is all about him and his pockets. But he is white and not a black president so everything he said and did was viewed differently.
