It really is outrageous what it is happening at the moment in the US when it comes to voting rights. Republicans running State legislatures are trying to make voting more difficult by next year's elections so they can steal what they couldn't last year.

"A decade ago Republicans passed new voter ID laws and other efforts to curtail voting rights when they took power in the states following Barack Obama’s election. Now they’re taking that strategy to the next level—trying to accomplish through legislation what Trump couldn’t with litigation. All in all, these efforts amount to the most concerted attempts to roll back voting rights since the passage of the Voting Rights Act in 1965."

All the evidence points to young America moving more to the left. This is republicans trying to stay relevant because the chances of them getting back is currently diminishing with every new generation of voters.

sorry to quibble but you really need to swap the second mention of “Georgia” there for the word “black”.
I have changed it, thanks for the suggestion. Sometimes my language skills fail me lol

You are very much right, this an attempt to
intimidate and suppress the votes of black people, as the GOP has done so ever since they were granted the right to vote in the US.

I was only joking! Your language skills are far better than my skills in Spanish are.

Well I took your joke seriously and now my post looks more accurate :)

Now if you really want to have laugh this morning you need to check out the link to this story. It is not politics but I just think everyone deserves a good laugh.

TBF to say they are scared implies that they didn’t create these beliefs and don’t continue to sustain them even now.

The top of the GOP knows exactly what it’s doing, as does that scumbag Murdoch in pivoting Fox back to feeding these loons. They think they’ve succeeded in dividing the country and will use that to have a stranglehold on power for years to come, even when they aren’t actively in office. They’ve done it to us as well.
WRT the conservative media, absolutely agreed. Yet imagine talk like this 10 years ago in the GOP. They still *believed* they were a party about personal ethics and morality.

She's a millionaire herself and she runs a Congressional campaign in a district that is +20% GOP. She sent out a fundraising call a couple of days ago and raised $200K in less than 24 hours.

Big Corp money may shy away from her but she'll have plenty of money to keep her seat.

If GA GOP doesn't want her....redistricting will be happening this year with the results of the census.
