I thought over there you had recall petitions as in if 10% of her electorate want rid they can force a new election?
For what I understand and have read the "US
Constitution does not provide for nor authorize the recall of United States officers such as Senators, House of Representatives, or the President or Vice President, and thus no Member of Congress has ever been recalled in the history of the United States.
Under the United States Constitution and congressional practice, Members of Congress may have their services ended prior to the normal expiration of their constitutionally established terms of office by their resignation or death, or by action of the house of Congress in which they are a Member by way of an “expulsion,” or by a finding that in accepting a subsequent “incompatible” public office, the Member would be deemed to have vacated his congressional seat."

So it seems the only way to remove her from office would be for Republicans to have the courage to do. To vote her out two-thirds of the members of the house would have to vote for such resolution and Republicans don't want to have this vote on their record as they will be facing voters again next year.

This is not a settled question legally.

When the Supreme Court obliquely addressed the matter very early on, the 17th Amendment had not yet happened. I would argue that any leanings in the direction of recall being unconstitutional at that time stem from the election of senators by the state legislatures rather than direct election. Recall would functionally have given the people veto power over the legislatures' choices, which expressly violates Article I.

Since then, the matter has not been taken up. It seems pretty clear to me that with the people directly electing the members of both houses of Congress, the 10th Amendment now applies and the states can do what they wish with respect to recall.

That said, you're unlikely to find a state legislature willing to pass the legislation and pay for the certain court fight unless/until a senator with a long remaining term goes totally off the reservation. It won't happen in the case of Greene, as the Republicans control the GA state legislature. With the state shifting blue, the Republicans are disadvantaged by recall provisions and will never pass them there as a consequence.

There's only so many ways you can restate what a POS McConnell is, but this one does it well:

The House of Representatives voted last night to enact fines against lawmakers who don't comply with metal detectors, hopefully this will stop GOP members from breaking the rules. It is a shame that all Republicans, and even 3 Democrats, voted against the measure. I guess they feel they are above the rules. Like Speaker Pelosi said “It is beyond comprehension why any Member would refuse to adhere to these simple, commonsense steps to keep this body safe."

They hadn't agreed on a power sharing plan. VP Harris can't be there every day so the Dem majority is a technicality.

Honestly, for the first 100 days I'd just tell Harris to do just that. Sit there. Get sheet done.

Good lord those asses just do not want to govern at all. They do EVERYTHING in their power to make sure as little as possible gets done in government. Cannot stand how Sinema and Manchin basically are throwing everything over to Republicans by making statements about how they need to "compromise".

REPUBLICANS DONT COMPRIMISE! How many times do you need to see this same thing happen before they wake up??

The "bleeding heart" part of liberals gets in our own way decidedly too often
