I actually never used colorful language growing up in Colombia until I move to the US and became smitten with the F word and a few others lol
You need to let your wife hear this NPR segment so she knows how smart you are.

The brits use of the gender-equal (or more male-directed) c-word is probably my favorite.
Also, swearing when hurt (as in hitting your thumb with a hammer and yelling F.....) does alleviate pain:

That leads to awful candidates and elected officials, and as lawmakers embark on a new round of map drawing in 2021, they should keep Cawthorn in mind. It might be nice to get easy election wins, but it’s not good for your party or the people you’re supposed to serve."
