That “the spending was all my wife’s fault” excuse is looking pretty thin.

It's starting to hurt him in the latest polls too he is neck and neck with 46% each (He would or any republican would usually hold a 56% - 60% margin) with his democrat opponent Ammar Campa Najjir.

Hopefully voters see through his bs and these polls are accurate and it swings in Najjir's favor.

When your own lawyer can only come up with this as a defence you’d hope you wouldn’t be re-elected

I suppose they are trying that theory that you (at least I think it was you) pointed to on the Trump thread, ie: that spending campaign money on paying credit card bills / rabbit airfares / ladies of the evening is legal campaign finance (and therefore not criminal) because it would end your campaign if it ever got out.

Not sure which thread the SCOTUS stuff goes but fair play to Booker here, not normally a huge fan but he's beginning to play the republicans at their own game here

He is, but Kavanaugh's point (or at least his original point, not the one he gave at the hearing) is emphatically correct - Roe vs Wade is a court opinion and it could be overturned by the court. The failure of US politicians - for decades - to do something more permanent about it has invited its overturning.

He's talking about racial profiling. Suppose it could be in relation to Roe v Wade but I doubt it, there's a trove of info on different topics out there.
