I bet there are idiots right now in his district lapping that up. Fox news sinking to newer lows if that's even possible.

What a joke!!

This is what sums up the conservative movement for me right now.

Defend liars, abusers and criminals at all costs turning their back on their own high moral values just to get one over on those pesky liberals. As much as i disagree with some of the conservative values i always thoguht they were bigger than this sort of stuff.

Staying quiet and allowing this to happen makes them complicit. It does not absolve them. Thing is when they rid themselves of Trump they will be left in a mess. They are so divided their party will have so many fractures 4 or 8 years from now.

I am sure someone will tell me its only fox news and that's what they do.Yes while that's true, only Paul Ryan has mentioned Duncan Hunter and that was to say only his committee duties have been suspended which is standard practice.

The rest off them have no comment just like it is when Trump says or does something controversial.

They don't allow a minute to pass when a liberal does something dirty or illegal. And no the democrats do call out their own before anyone say it works both ways

Call me a skeptic but I don’t think the Hunter defence of “my wife did it all” is going to hold up in court...

But a quick glance at the FBI’s indictment of Hunter shows that he, according to prosecutors, was allegedly just as liberal with the campaign credit card as his wife was. Hunter took multiple unnamed individuals he had a “personal” relationship with, on long weekend trips and treated his friends to fancy parties and long nights of drinking on the campaign account.

For example, he took one person, referred to as “individual 14,” on a ski trip in Lake Tahoe and a long weekend to Virginia Beach, expensing parts of their trip. He also paid for "a personal stay at the Liaison Capitol Hill hotel” with the individual.

Yep not forgetting on several occasion he overdrew his account and on other occasions he clearly knew his account had only $30 or $40 in it and so was careful to withdraw $20 only haha!!

Which is the other thing is he saying ( as someone who is supposed to represent his constituents in government mind) that he is clueless to his own personal finances and presumed he had that actual money in their account that despite the above and well the overwhelming evidence that he knew full well haha!!

Maybe he is hoping for a juror like they got in the Manafort trial haha!!

This guys is a dumbass but i guess he is learning from the best, his best pal in the oval office.

Is that in
Apparently all a political witch hunt - by a Trump appointed attorney! Throwing his wife under the bus seems a very unwise move given his night at Liaison Hotel with individual 14...she already has a separate attorney.

And whilst the cost of living is expensive he does get a salary of $174k a year - perhaps if that is not sufficient for his lifestyle he should get better paying job or run for office in another state that isn’t a handme down from his father...

Embattled Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) appeared on Fox News Thursday night and denied all wrongdoing over charges that he misspent a quarter of a million dollars of campaign money on personal expenses such as a vacation to Italy, dental work and flying the family’s pet bunny across the country. In the interview, the Republican from conservative eastern San Diego County, who was gifted his seat in Congress by his father, defended himself from all accusations.
Asked point-blank if he was guilty, Hunter denied any and all wrongdoing. “No, in fact, the events you were mentioning there were fundraisers,” he said. “That’s how people get to hear me and hear what I have to say.”

Hunter attacked the Trump-appointed U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California, Adam Braverman, who is prosecuting him and complained that he doesn’t have time to fight the charges before his election.
“This is a late hit,” he said.

Hunter did admit to saying “[Poor language removed] the Navy” after he was unable to arrange a base tour that was allegedly to be used as a cover story for his family’s vacation to Italy.

Hunter blamed his wife for anything amiss.

“When I went to Iraq in 2003, the first time, I gave her power of attorney and she handled my finances throughout my whole military career and she continued that when I got to Congress,” he said. “Whatever she did, that will be looked at too, I’m sure. But I didn’t do it. I didn’t spend any money illegally. I didn’t use campaign money, especially for Wounded Warriors, there’s no way.”

Hunter then attacked his “socialist Democrat opponent” and complained of the cost of living in Southern California when asked if his salary was sufficient. “It’s difficult to live in a place like San Francisco or San Diego or New York or D.C,” he said. “It’s probably easier to live in a place like Kansas or Missouri.”

Is that individual number 14 or individual, 14 as in age?

If it's the latter, how on earth can he be allowed to run for office?
Roy Moore was one thing, considering it was 40 years ago but this was recent so wtf??

Had he won in 2008 his health might have forced him to retire with the prospect of Palin stepping into the Presidency.
Not such a good thing although it might have deflected Trump's progress.
Lot of ifs and buts here.
