Yep, cnn will be laughed out of the court room.

No, they won't.

https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/31/409.1

§ 409.1 Standard.

In granting or denying a request for a security clearance made in response to an application for a White House press pass, officials of the Secret Service will be guided solely by the principle of whether the applicant presents a potential source of physical danger to the President and/or the family of the President so serious as to justify his or her exclusion from White House press privileges.

Acosta/CNN present no source of physical danger to the President or his family and therefore are wrongfully excluded from press pool privileges.

He's the President of the United States, not North Korea. He isn't a dictator. There are laws, set way before him, that he must follow.

CNN has sued Trump cause of Acosta ban. Good luck with that haha
They have hired Ted Olson, solicitor general for GW Bush and a founding member of the Federalist society.

He argued for Bush v Gore before Supreme Court and also defeated the gay marriage ban in California in the same court - he ain’t no chump...if he thinks they have a 1st amendment case I’d bet he has pretty solid grounds for it.

This will be very interesting case for sure. Personally I think Acosta is more activist than a journalist. Ultimately it boils down to that. CNN overplaying their hand.

Let me say that people that said/thought that Acosta did assault that intern are basically bellends. It wasnt an assault of any kind. But it was kind of a behaviour that wasnt proper journalism...It was activism and If It would have been obama and republican journalist then metoo campaign would be all over this and you know it.
This isnt about 1st or 5th A. This is about Acosta being a tit.

Glad we can at least agree on that Finn ;)

Personally I do find Acosta egotistical and far too fond of showboating but still think the banning was an overreaction and has some serious legal issues/implications. I believe it good that presidents, irrespective of their political party, have to face questions from the press, even if in a combative manner - the job and its trappings can go to anyones head.
