Pelosi really needs binning if the Dems want to turn heads.

House leader isn't exactly easy, there are liberal dems, blue dogs and dems in swing districts from all over the country. Pelosi admittedly does a good job at keeping them all together. You need an effective leglislator who can build a consensus, not really a charismatic leader. Yes she's a product of the Clinton-Obama wing of the Wall St Dems (however less so) and we might be able to do better but she's not horrible at what she does. Compare her to Paul Ryan, who's house GOP had splinter groups inside of splinter groups and you see why she's held onto to her job for so long.

Senate leader is similar, but becuase you only have about 50 people to deal with its a bit easier to get everyone to fall in line. McConnell is a chrismaless douchebag, but he runs washington now and can get Trump to do whatever he wants. There is no one better in washington at getting @#%^ passed.

Schumer on the other hand can GTFO.

Pelosi is exceptional at her job tbh.

She's fine at her job, but Dems would be smart to build-up a newer/younger rep to give them some national attention. Pelosi won't move on from her job to say, Senate or VP or President, but giving a younger rep some exposure might payoff.

You groom younger reps for national office by giving them prime speaking engagements at conventions and the like. Then you send them around the country in town halls and such. You have that individual sponsor popular nothing legislation that will pass like eleventythousand - 2. You don't leave them in washington hammering out a budget.

Any Speaker of the House will get more press/exposure just by being speaker of the house than by going on speaking tours or sponsoring bills. Just my opinion, though...not trying to get into some extended debate.

Pelosi has said herself that she’d be a transitional leader. I’d say she’s a fairly astute choice for the next couple of years, which will be fairly tricky to navigate.
