This will be very interesting case for sure. Personally I think Acosta is more activist than a journalist. Ultimately it boils down to that. CNN overplaying their hand.

Let me say that people that said/thought that Acosta did assault that intern are basically bellends. It wasnt an assault of any kind. But it was kind of a behaviour that wasnt proper journalism...It was activism and If It would have been obama and republican journalist then metoo campaign would be all over this and you know it.
This isnt about 1st or 5th A. This is about Acosta being a tit.
He works for CNN not the Fabian society

right so you think it's ok to revoke his press pass because he's being a tit?
In fact you find it laughable that CNN should push back?
Just checking.

Yea they did right by revoking his pp. WH press briefings is not place for activism. I think it is perfectly expectable and that CNN pushes back, natural reaction if I may.
CNN might have case in one or two points but ultimately Acosta crossed the line. Trump might halt Press briefings at some point.

Rallies are not Press briefings
But they are a very clear form of activism, which if I understand you is a good basis for removing his press pass - that he is an activist rather than a journalist?

So far I’ve seen the following reasons floated for his banning - “assault” of intern, being a tit and being an activist. I don’t think any of them will withstand legal challenge.

Do you think he acted professionally in that pb?

Why is that that metoo movement hasnt touched this case? Acostas behaviour clearly humiliated that intern. No respect towards WH, its staff or basic rules of wh press briefings. Think that will be the downfall of their legal case.

To be fair, I no longer have any respect for the WH, nor do many people in the US. Our current POTUS has no respect for it, why should I?
