Careful when you google illness symptoms though - it's dead easy to find exactly what you're scared of, often unwillingly and inaccurately.

A general strike though, would that take a hell of a lot of organisation?

When was the last one? General strike I mean, not an individual union group.

Yeah lets murder millions of people and put the rest working for the state for a pittance.

I agree that it went badly wrong very quickly, as anything that becomes violent inevitability does.

But let's not forget that the reason people resorted to such desperate and unpleasant means, was because a small group of people treated the majority of the population like slaves for centuries and enjoyed a very privileged life as a result. And when people peacefully said "we'd like to try something different" the vested interests brutally repressed them.

It seems much fairer to expect someone who will earn considerably more than average over their lifetime to foot the bill for the education that gave them that income

At one time this was probably true, but I don't think it's that cut and dry anymore. Loads of underemployed graduates, and plenty of them didn't study 'micky mouse' courses.

Cos I'm not. If they'd paid their taxes an alternative (that'd been state-owned) could've been funded.
