I guess so. In such a case as this I would think that if a photo is shown and makes a link to an event, then the person/publication making that link should be able to prove it.

If I say "this photo was taken in your garden" then you're right, the burden is on me to prove my claim if challenged.

I'm aware she didn't agree with Ray Blanchard in the same vein as Andrea James (the Trans Activist) didn't agree with the Paedophile John Money, who coined the idea of Gender, whilst quite amusingly disproving his theories in the 60's

I told you to type it to show proof that it happens FREQUENTLY.

Mate, are you telling me - 2 blokes on an Internet football forum, that THE Lynn Conway, creator of the microchip as we see it today, and one of the most prominent trans activists of all time is wrong?

I don't care about the backlash mate, it's not me who's labelled 90% of transwomen male fetishists - it's Lynn Conway, one of the most influential transwomen of the 20th Century. I think she has more sway on the issue than some prat on the Internet.

The forthcoming judgement from the High Court should go some way to doing so. It won’t stop the tedious arguments, but it will determine whether women’s rights can be appropriated by men through enforced legislation, or not.

That's who I meant when I said some prat on the Internet. I actually meant me not you. If you thought I meant you then I apologise.

As for using Lynn Conway's status - if you have read her papers you'll note she only she's people as 'fully trans' if they've undergone SRS (her study states 1-2500 in 2001).


This all pretty much lies on whether you take the views of Biomedical Central and Ray Blanchard which states what I put, or Lynn Conway - both are equally valid. You could have the opinion that Blanchard sensationalises and scaremongers whereas Conway embellishes and overstates figures to appear more 'of the norm'.

Personally I err on the side of caution.
