Why?
You don’t have to be Trans to wear a skirt mate.
Just ask DCL.
Although that is true , from an outside perspective many kids who are 'transitioning' seem to adhere to stereotype when it comes to looks. They identify as a woman and think that means dresses make up and long hair almost like it is role playing. That famous one currently , Dylan , in one of the only interviews I have ever seen with her talked about loving shopping , being a bad driver etc. Being female doesn't need any of those boxes ticked but in the question of transitioning an awful lot of them do.

Nobody needs to tick boxes, yet some people want them to tick the boxes they think they should tick. So what if that one person loves shopping, why would anybody disparage somebody for liking something that does no harm to anybody else and makes them feel better about themselves. Just because they like something does not mean they are simply 'playing dress up'.

My wife considers herself queer, has only ever worn a dress once in adult life. Has never wanted children. However, society has always wanted the boxes ticked and has been sometimes looked down upon (or feels looked down upon) because of the fact that they don't wear make up or dresses. It is the same as your example, why should somebody be looked down upon because they feel more comfortable acting against societal norms, as in they are born a man but feel more at home, in some ways, as a stereotypical woman.

You are missing the point of what I said in the first part. Transitioning Males, not all but many that are online take those stereotypes and reinforce their transition by using them. It isn't a case of they like this so they are playing dress up, it's playing the role, rather than believing you are in the wrong body. If a child especially makes shopping , dresses, make up their identity as a trans female, it's cosplay. If they just want to be seen as female , without stereotypes then that is a different story.

Still not sure on the point?

Are you saying that unless they act a certain way then they are not doing it the right way?

The opposite in fact. If trans females are going straight for all the stereotypes then it's probably not a transgender issue they have. Much the same way as applying racial stereotypes as an example. I'm talking about children in this case, who think being female is all the list of stereotypes that in the real world don't apply. If you believe so strongly you are female then that is one thing, if children see being female as dresses and make up and shopping and all the rest of it , not so much.
