Do things like Gender and Pronouns bother you?

Quick question, if I walked into the Ladies to purely use the facilities (maybe I'm absolutely bursting with a massive queue for the Gents, perhaps an honest mistake of not seeing a sign until too late, confusing directions, whatever), what would my legal repercussions be as a not particularly feminine-looking bloke (currently Movembering)?

Let's assume we don't end up with any Carry On style incidents when it happens. Indeed, maybe it was completely empty at the time.

How many years banged up am I looking at?

Trust me, I'm not arsed about anyone's chosen lifestyle. And if someone wants to believe that they can morph into the opposite sex, then that's their prerogative, but we shouldn't be terrorising people that have the temerity to disagree.

And when it comes to ridiculous stuff like male rapists gaining access to female prisons, and male boxers twatting female boxes in the face. Well, I do disagree with that. I consider it to be both ridiculous and dangerous.

I disagree with this as well.

However, what percentage of sexually deviant males are going through sex change operations just so they can rape somebody in the bathroom. How many are dressing up pretending that they are trans to go into the women's bathroom to rape them, how many are doing this so that they can be locked up in prison and have their way with the female inmates. If it such a big problem, I guess the data is there to have a strong opinion about this.

My opinion is that it should not happen but even if there is one example of this happening, why punish a whole society because if them.

Also, the boxer in the Olympics was not Trans, if that is what you are referring to. That is a whole different extremely complicated issue, involving genetics and such stuff that is beyond my comprehension.

I hear you about the small degree of prevalence. The issue is that this extremely small cohort is trying to make changes to the law, to force everyone else into accepting their ideology... or else!

Scotland tried to introduce a law that would allow someone to morph from a male into a female upon declaration.

If that's how you want to interpret it, then fair enough.

Is knowing a trans person a requirement?
It’s very important, yes.

What I see in here is a lot of people formulating opinions based upon talking points which have long since been addressed.

Using examples that only represent a tiny minority of the trans community (such as the prison or boxing debate) as a stick to beat an entire group of people with is a common tactic (historically speaking) amongst those who oppose the equal rights of certain groups.

Speaking to someone who’s actually living their life as a trans person can help you cut through the nonsense “trans people all think this” rhetoric.

Educate yourselves.

The bolded bit is transphobic by the way. Implying that they are sexually deviant is just a horrible way to think about the issue, even if it is referring to a proportion of them. There are deviants in every every society, so why should we be against a whole society because of a few perceived bad eggs. Sounds like you should be anti all humans, not just anti-trans.

It is no different to being against the Asian community because a proportion of them groom kids, or against the Islamic community because some of them are terrorists. It is a bigoted thought process.

Saying that genetically they were born of a certain sex.
They have always felt that their gender is not the same as their birth sex.

These two statements can be said without contradicting each other.

Why should it matter if somebody wants to put female on their passport, how is this going against science. How is this anybody's business but that individual persons.
They don’t like it because it means there’s more women to reject them, sad little virgins.

Why do you keep on saying 'morph'?

I have the most limited knowledge of the actual sex change procedures but even I know they don't just wish it and it happens.

As mentioned, nobody is trying to force you into any ideology from the pro-trans side of the debate, they are simply just responding to the attacks from the other side. The anti-trans people are forcing a belief on you that these are second class citizens and should not be given basic human rights to feel comfortable in society.

If the right wingers never brought it up, nobody would bat an eyelid at a female walking into a Women's public toilet.

Another one is exaggerating risks to children to generate an emotional protective response in people. "Little girls" seeing men in the public bathroom. "Daughters" getting injured by boys in school sports, etc.

Same as it ever was.

The issues haven't been addressed tbh, there's this ongoing extremely tedious 'culture war' that is getting as far the courts.

Read what's being written here. There are no protests outside the Masquerade saying "Stop trans people having fun". Nobody is saying that.

If the trans rights community were demanding the right to be left alone, then there would be no news because nobody really cares. But they’re demanding that society ditches millennia of custom and convention, and indeed biology, to maintain an absolute obsession with postmodern nonsense.

I think it’s horrible that old nana types like JK Rowling have been bullied to the maximum just because she’s got the backbone to say sorry but I don’t agree with your ideological standpoint. She is in a privileged enough position to say that, but the rest of us are too scared to offer our own opinion. Try saying that you don’t agree with trans ideology at work and see what happens!

I disagree mate. Your job is at risk if you don't agree that a man can morph into a woman.

Morph / transition, it means the same thing.

Scotland literally attempted to bring in a law that would allow people to morph into the opposite sex, and instantly acquire the rights of the opposite sex, upon declaration. It took the powers that be in Westminster to stop this from becoming a legal reality.

This is the issue, it is not an ideology?

That is the wrong way to look at it. I mean, I was born a man and I am still a man, that isn't an ideology just in the same way somebody who knows that they don't feel comfortable in their own body is not feeling that way in ideological way. They are feeling like that because they feel like that, this is not a choice they are making.

From my point of view the issue has been addressed. It is the issue of saying it is an ideology, using words such as 'morph', using a small subset of the community to punish and degrade the rest of that community.

Nothing wrong with not liking it, it is not a agree/disagree situation with how they feel though. The act of allowing them to feel like a woman/man has been turned into a political tool and people lap it up because they don't understand it and some may shouting a bit too loud because they want to hide their own feelings. I am sure I heard recently that the majority of US searches for transexual porn was in historically red states.

Do you mean this one?

Looks like it was passed 2 years ago? Like a lot of stuff like this you have to go through a lot of waffle and terminology crap to get to the point but it looks like it was passed?

OK, maybe you do mean morph in its literal sense but I feel that it may be a bit more of a context thing and the rest of the words around it imply a choice. There is no choice.

Why is the bill a bad thing, exactly? Is it no different to any kind of change of legal status, i.e. becoming a citizen if a country allows you to have different rights, etc. than were maybe just a resident? Getting married allows you to have different rights than being single. In some countries being religious/non-religious allows you to have different legal rights.
