Think John will go bad ass now and take on Ramsey in the north, can leave the nights watch because of his vow:

"Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death"

Well he died.........

Jon to rule Westeros with his his queen Danaerys in a typically ASOIAF incestual relationship.

Think about it, she is FIRE, he is ICE.

Thought this episode was really good.

Ànnoyed how easily Rpose Bolton was had off considering how calculating he's been so far

Loved that Tyrions story with the dragons was lifted right from the book, so interesting to see his intelligence and depth of Dragonlore from the book kind of sufacing

Much better than episode 1 but still have grumbles:

Ramsey: George RR Martin at one point said that there are no outright evil characters in his series, but what is Ramsey if not evil? Everything he's ever done has been (sometimes cartoonishly) evil. Far, far too predictable that he'd murder his father.

Tyrion: Why on Earth did he release the dragons? Other than giving that character something to do. He asked Missandei does she know them, but for some reason, volunteers himself. Bizarre and completely out of character.

And he's gone 5 seasons, I think, without the eunock jokes. But now he's done 2 very poor ones in 2 episodes.
Agree on ramsay and the eunuch jokes. Think tyrion volunteering is in character tbh. He's been into dragons since he was a kid and has read every book about them seemingly, i just thought he'd take missandei with though

I was so hoping he was put on the bonfire, and only to rise as he is a true Targaryen, being the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen and Ned was saying he was his bar-steward to prevent Robert and Tywin killing him

think that is deffo coming later now, what with the flashbacks and the like

Enjoyed last nights episode.

Its a bit conflicting for me. I called the ramsey killing his dad story line last week to happen at some point, so bit surprised how it happened this week. Makes me think that a) they are rushing through the plots a bit quick and b) stil ltechnically predictable so far considering both Roose and John were stories you knew were coming.

Also whats going on at the wall? officers kill snow, they justify it to everyone else and everything is fine. Wildings turn up with a giant and all of a sudden no-one supports them and they lock the officers up in the cells?! bit mad that. who is lord commander then? I really hope they don't just make snow the lord commander again because it will get boring.

side note, how great is ramsey as a character? They have taken a character who is just evil for the sake of it and more annoying than anything, and made his character into a truely evil character instead. I actually enjoy his storylines and him being the bad guy in a world that lacks any real bad buys.

The Watch didn't put up a fight because they were massively outnumbered and only really followed the douche because they were so used to him as an authority figure. When faced with death or surrender, true colours shown. That, and it was convenient for the story.

fair enough, just seemed to be massively hypercritical in the end, like we hate you with a passion so we will do this as a result, then when they show up again its like we're sorry! lol

He was dead. His watch is over. Now he can rally the watch as a Northman, rally the northern banners and retake Winterfell. Put Sansa on the seat of Winterfell, then hook up with his cousin, break several modern laws, and burn everything with the dragons!!! Jobs a good 'un!!!

That is what i am hoping for yeah, put the past in the past so to speak and use him for a war, and really make him a top character.

If anything could be a ying/yang type situation up there with Ramsey as well.

i wonder if this was the plan for ramsey or did the show realise what a good character he was and change things? you have to have someone to love to hate and he has replaced joffrey in that role

i think alot of the credit has to go to the actor, plays it really well and just manages to stay on the right side of ludicrous

agreed, at the start he was a character that made me cringe but as of now, i actually enjoy his evilness as much as i did enjoy johns heroism and tyrion's adventures.

think it was all planned though tbh the way it has gone. If i could see it coming last week then it isn't too suprising it happened haha

Ramsey is one of the worst characters and a good example of why the show has become so weak, and proof that the show runners struggle to tell a storyline without a shocking moment or twist, some of ramseys moments are shocking, but ultimately quite shallow, and very often cruel for the sake of being cruel. It's gotten to the point that his most recent act of violence, I just shrugged, it's been overused and I'm quite numb to it, especially with ham acting of his character, theres nothing difficult at all in writing or portraying a character that is completely evil or completely good, in fact it's lazy

Do you not think that sometimes you need to have those extreme characters in a world where everything is purposely crossed over for the sake of it? I mean Jamie or arguments sake has had so many good and bad things thrown at him it is hard to even portray him either side of the spectrum.

for me personally, i just enjoy having at least one character so far gone off the scale that you don't need to read them. Sometimes for me, story telling just works when you don't need a backstory to it, ramsey is a evil tit, great. I don't need motivations for him, or reasonings, i can just accept it.

I think considering the general audience of the show, being to convoluted would lead the show into being a bit too pretentious for its own good
