There are very few storylines actually left in the show, and I suspect this has been done deliberately to make the pacing work in an hour-long episodic format. I think they would have done better to go with episodes of ninety minutes, with twelve per season rather than ten.

The pacing issues are a real problem now as a vast % of the storylines they've ran with are complete boring bullshit and don't drive the Fire and Ice Arc so look disjointed and halfarsed . Big problems looming for this show .

a lot of tv shows suffer from a drop in quality, I haven't read the books so come from different perspective...but I think it being different from the books isn't valid criticism, its a tv show inspired by the books(title isn't even the same) I think its good they are doing something different, but this obviously upsets some fans of the books

I read the books first and loved them , Game of thrones has done them proud, but this series has been a disaster ! 7 episodes in and it's boring me to death.

I'd be interested to know if your opinion remains the same after you read the books.
