Was devastated about Barry The Bold to be honest - Hand of the Queen, squaring against Drogon etc. They even gave him a snidey peasant death in favour of Grey Worm surviving to have it off with Nathalie Emmanuel for no apparent reason

The sand snakes in a recent episode was probably the gashest scene Ive seen so far in 5 seasons and made no sense

Jamie is now a goodie instead of a complex character without the Rivverrun scene

Nobody even knows that Tyrion is really up on history and dragons etc., with his whole story arc being truncated seemingly so much into a single season

Overtly relaying the R+L=J annoyed me a lot too, far more nuanced in the books

Can't talk enough really about how disappointed I am with the transition from 4 through 5 here
Frankly laughable the whole scene! Unrealistic fighting, gash acting ,Benny Hill style slapstick running around, honestly I thought I was on drugs watching it. The only good thing is Bronn got slashed, is hopefully poisoned and will die and save us from the writers doing the whole ' making storylines up for fan favourites' crap.

:D

Sand snakes are pointless.

Priests or whatever should be destroyed.

Dragon chica boring.

This show needs a few more deaths.

I think the show is still very ace. Season 5 and still the Best show on TV.

Not sure why people are falling off the wagon, but you can't please everyone.

For me the show is still enjoyable, very much so. But when compared with the books, the substantially revised plotlines in the show just don't work. I'd also agree that the fight scene with Bronn, Jamie and the Sand Snakes was definitely the poorest-choreographed fight scene in all five seasons to date.

I read the books before watching the show, and that keeps colouring my opinion of the story arcs the show is following. If there is someone on here who HASN'T read the books but HAS been watching the show from the start, I'd be interested to know what they thought of the books if they started reading them now. (if that makes sense?)

I accept the need for transition episodes, but the last two episodes have felt rushed.

Regardless, @McBain is right. Even with the sag in quality, it is still top notch tele.

I have seen tonight's, and one of the story arcs is now ahead of the books. Bonkers.

Stannis and Ramsay Bolton continue to be the best-acted characters by some margin. Peter Dinklage being given nothing to work with re Tyrion's heavily-altered story arc.

You mean Tyrion's arc?
