Jon walking around the snowy mountains ? naw

On the other hand, Arya going round assassinating everyone, that'd be well worth watching
I was hoping more like Jon encountering one of the white walkers again. But yeah Arya would be totally awesome. I did read that there is some kind of spin off or prequel under development. Think we won’t be seeing the same cast ever again in the series.

I don’t think even ten episodes would have been enough, still would have been way too rushed... Jon and Danny’s love story happened in the space of about three episodes and her descent into madness took one episode. That stuff should have happened over multiple seasons.

The thing is GOT has always been a slow burner, everything has taken almost too long to get to this point and within a short season everything has happened in a blink of an eye. It leaves the series as a whole with a continuity pacing error.

Was speaking with someone and they said something so apt I thought.

"It feels this season like there were massive monumental conversations completely intricate to the plotline multiple times an episode. Unfortunately for us they all seemed to happen off screen"

I’ve watched watched the entire series from season 1, episode 1 to the season 8 finale over the last 6 weeks or so.

As far as I’m concerned, Dany’s decent to mad Queen was expected and pretty obvious. I mean, the symbolism of her character throughout the entire series is one of violence - emerging from flames, leading armies, flambé-ing everyone who got in her way. Not to mention all the talk from other characters about Targaryans being unstable etc. Even before I ever saw one episode, I had the impression she was a villain.

I can’t believe people are actually saying her actions in the last couple of episodes were out of character. They just weren’t. Her season 8 decent was rushed, but it wasn’t out of character.

The finale was a real damp squib after the battle of Winterfell and the massacre of Kings Landing episodes. Bran being made the King is logical but very boring. Although it is the only ending that really brings about any closure. You could see Bran and his council bringing about an Age of Enlightenment.

Tyrian deciding the future of the throne while supposedly being Grey Worms prisoner was extremely contrived and convenient.

Sansa and Arya got suitable endings, Jon’s ending was extremely unsatisfying.

Bran hasn’t cared about anything since becoming the 3-eyed Raven ages ago. But now he actually wants to be king “Thats why I’m here” - doesn’t ring true.
