Game Of Thrones: Season 8

it's like the writers totally forgot that arya was the many face god, they could have at least done something great with that at least once in the final series.
Great character Arya and they did absolutely nothing with her at the end, she was trained to be an ultimate assassin, she watched the Lannisters exicute her father and could do nothing about it.

So in the last episode instead of her getting revenge for her father, she's just running about the streets dodging fire and bricks, what a waste.

There was some good stuff in that episode but what wasn't there and the lost potential of what they could have done, was inexcusable, shoddy shoddy writing.

There was a reason she burned that woman though wasn't there...can't even remember what happened but you can tell from the dialogue that Danerys had motive for killing her.

Hardly the same as going round burning innocent women and children in Kings Landing which she'd said all along that she was trying to rid the world of - the innocent suffering at the hands of tyrants.
She burned her because Dany felt lied to when she said she could save Drogo. She did save him technically but he was then a vegetable and it cost Dany her child also. The witch’s argument was that she had already been raped multiple times by the Dothraki before Dany saved her. So it again plays into the fact that Dany wants to free people and avenge them but only on her terms.

What do you reckon the odds are that they go back to it in a couple of years when HBO thrown money at the Author/Writers to do some more.

It was left wide open to continue, would not surprise me within 5 years they are making more.

For 8 series Dany talks about breaking the wheel, her being the last spoke and Jon breaking that wheel kind of made sense. However from that point of the episode everything else was a car crash.

The person who ended up on the throne is the one Martin wanted. Problem was that the means to get there over a number of series eroded to a point beyond repair. A wooden character, devoid of any real love or hate from the audience. Some will say that’s the point but for a series as epic as this has been it was never going to work.

Last note - Tyrion is brought up to be potentially executed and within half a scene is picking the new king?!?!

He's just ripped that from a post on twitter earlier today...

TBF the only theory that makes any sense whatsoever is that Bran warged into everyone and made them ignore their actual lives / motivations / interests in order to get himself elected king.

There is no better evidence of this than Pod giving up his magic wand in order to push Bran about and be celibate.
