But what I don't understand is, why is it all so sunny? Did the winter just dissappear when the walkers died?

And what's with all the bloody crying? We've had the strong characters Danny, Jon, cersei and brienne all balling their eyes out about love when their characters have been built up to be the opposite.

They really couldn't go anywhere with the ending after the last episode, they left nothing but the obvious, which they did.
Jon and Dany have both cried over love in the past (Ygritte and Drogo respectively). Cersei has cried over the love for her children. Brienne hasn’t maybe technically cried but she was broken over Renly’s death. It’s really not out of character for any of them.

As for the weather change it’s pretty clear that “summer is coming”. The Long Night was stamped out when the Night King was killed.

tbh the Dany "transformation" is the one bit of season 8 that does make sense - shes been like this for ages, including after Drogo's death:

FFS

A dragon making some kind of political statement by torching the throne??

Might as well have made a shredded wheat king.

Grey Worm (backed by an inexplicably massive army): Yeah, we’re gonna snuff Jon Snow

Tyrion: Hang on, lad, wait until this gang of no-marks arbitrarily - not to mention hastily - selects someone to tell you, a liberated slave, what to do instead

Grey Worm: Yeah, sound

Proper fuming, here.
