From what I can tell, you all got Mass Effect 3'd eh? Ending that was wrapped up in double-quick order to massive disappointment because the people who made the series didn't know where it was all leading from the off and winged it instead?

Unfortunate.
I haven't seen it but I know what happens.

I'll talk about it more.once I have watched but there will be literally a list of Important things from the books that they included that meant nothing throughout the show.

Booooo. lol

Again, if this episode had been split up into 2 or 3 eps as needed, I wouldn't have minded as much.

As it was, as has been all season (bar the first two eps tbf) stuff 'just happened' for no real reason, with some stuff actually happening without any backstory at hint at all.

It’s not nitpicky at all in my opinion; it’s just lazy TV. They’ve built something so brilliant over the years and now they just visibly can’t be arsed. Starbucks cups? Stuff like this? At least if you’re going to ruin an ending do it with a bit of pride.

There was a water bottle in a scene too.

The writers. The editors. The producers. They all have plenty to answer for.

The score was good, though. And the big actors at least came to the fore (not classing Kit H because, frankly, he's 100% wood).

A) Where the HELL do all these Unsullied and Dothraki come from? They literally showed like 10 surviving that idiotic charge in to the sea of death, yet there are hundreds more in Kings Landing?

B) I still have no idea how I feel about this episode other than "well...it's over".

C) Good GOD could they make Jon Snow a more whiney bitch?

D) I genuinely felt bad for Drogon. That's about it.

GOT DONE

Incredible series but such a poor final season and final few episodes just felt like HBO just wanted done with it and tied up all story plots up as quick as possible.

Every character arch which made GOT so good just got peed on.

Shame really

It wasn't HBO who wanted done with it, it was the writers.

This is on them, ultimately.

HBO wanted 9-10 seasons. It's a cash cow for them.

Overall, it's 2 eps in one again, and that's what the issue is.

Pretty much like the entire back half of the season.

Thought the first half of the episode was pretty good to be honest. Tyrion finding Jaime and renouncing Dany. Jon and Tyrion scene was strong I thought. Didn’t really mind the way he offed Dany and thought Drogon’s mourning fire fest was well done.

Didn’t really expect much from the second half of the episode as it was only ever going to be tying things up and it all pretty much made sense. Too safe? Probably. But I think it still worked.

Bit weird that Tyrion as a prisoner was basically allowed to determine the fate of the 7/6 Kingdoms but he’s the most experienced out of them all so wasn’t too fussed by that.

Storyline aside, I’d thought the scenes with Drogon behind Dany and Drogon coming out of the snow/ash looked great.
