They just bottled it.
I would love to be in the room when David Benioff and D.B. Weiss watch Avengers: Endgame.
Maybe watch something else, there's loads of things to watchMaybe the directors do.
The writers clearly don't though.
I think people largely seem to be forgetting about Gendry. Has as much right to sit on the Iron Throne as Jon and Dany do. His relationship with Arya is even hinted at during the very first episode of the show when King Robert suggests to Ned that they join their houses.
I'm just not a big fan of all these marvel films. If I was a kid watching them, it's probably something I'd still watch at my age, like I do with 90s kids films, but there's just too many and they're too frequent.
Maybe accept that people are free to critique and praise different aspects of the same show, and still choose to watch it.Maybe watch something else, there's loads of things to watch
I have no problem with sensible critique, but battle tactics is a bit sillyMaybe accept that people are free to critique and praise different aspects of the same show, and still choose to watch it.
As said before, the first four seasons were a solid 10/10.
Since going off the reservation, the writing quality has dropped significantly. Still some individually great episodes in the latter seasons (Hardhome, The Door, The Winds of Winter, The Spoils of War, plus a couple more), but the overall plot progression has suffered and this current season is not looking good at the moment when compared to the show's earlier high points. This episode, and the battle of Winterfell itself, could and should have been better than it was.
Disappointing if I'm honest mate. It went downhill so quickly from the second they ran out of material from the books. I understand that they wanted to go a different route to the books because Martin is nowhere near completing them but they didn't have to screw over certain characters for the sake of it or let the writings standards drop so badly. It's a parody of what it once was at this stage. Don't get me wrong, it's still enjoyable enough but its a bit sad to see it become just another tv show near the end.I've never watched it (Got series 1 on DVD and I'll give it a go at some point)
How is everyone enjoying this one? Is it delivering what you wanted?

They've left themselves with to much to do and not enough time to do it in. Six episodes was never going to be enough to close this series properly, regardless of the run time.
