Game Of Thrones: Season 8

Ruminating on last week's signposting, here are my predictions for tonight's bloodletting:

1) Greyworm dies in battle, buying everyone time to get back inside Winterfell
2) Brienne dies in battle, protecting Jamie because he cannot fight effectively anymore
3 Tormund dies in battle, trying to save Brienne
4) Beric dies in battle, sacrificing himself to save the Hound
5) Lady Mormont dies in battle after ordering Ser Jorah to retreat
6) Varys dies in the crypt due to Tyrion making some kind of mistake
7) Gilly dies in the crypt
8) The big one... Arya dies when she completely underestimates an enemy.

Literally none of those were correct, with number 4 being a little close

Beric dying to save arya, sort of gave away the ending for me, although I did think the rumours say brann was the night king, so I thought they'd have to kill him instead when breathing fire on the night king didn't work.

I was a bit let down by the ending tbh, I was hoping the battle would last two episodes and more main characters would die. I mean Sam tarley is useless at fighting, they should have killed him off, protecting gilly or something. I do like how they made Jon snow look a bit useless after seasons of building him up to be the one to land the knockout blow.

I think a dragon should have gone as well, they haven't really been used an awful lot, it's like a cheat mode that they don't want to use. But wtf did the night king do with his? Burned down the wall and just ruined it's use all the way through.

Anyway, after all this moaning, we've all said we thought a load of main characters would die and the fact that they didn't, is a surprise and unpredictable, which is what we're all craving for? Huh?

... Or did they just bottle it?

What did you want him to use his for? He instantly destroyed the wall with it, then he held back on it waiting for the other 2 to attack him. He almost took down both of those before he went and blasted a hole in Winterfell allowing easy access for his army. He got knocked off his dragon which then went free-for-all on the defending army and almost killed Jon Snow whilst the Night King went in to kill Bran for the final blow.

Literally what more did you want him to do with it? Your comments seem clouded by the bitterness you hold for episode.

It was Everton in a must win game bottle job.

They just bottled it.

I would love to be in the room when David Benioff and D.B. Weiss watch Avengers: Endgame.
