Unfortunately some use it as a cloak of defence but the idea free speech is being eroded is very true.

Take the attack on protests what gets me though why do certain groups in my own aisle of voting and thinking think censorship and silencing of ideas we don’t like is any less worse than the beginnings of fascism?

Why did they need to mention their weight at all? Was it vital to the story?

Yeah, she was chubby and he was thin ish, and ‘social media’ was giving her grief. A complete non-story but it was the ever growing designing of groupings or descriptions that caught my eye. Any minute now, someone will set up a ‘mixed weight partnership’ support or pressure group demanding special dispensation for something.....

Free speech is far too often conflated with freedom from consequences. Piers is binned - rightly so - for airing his abhorrent views on a national platform, then cries about being cancelled. On a global platform. Then loads of his racists mates with their global platforms join in. But yeah, cancelled...

The issue is that far too many people act like there are shades of grey when it comes to the right to equality of women, POC, LGBTQ+ people and any other marginalised members of society - There isn’t. If you don’t support all of these people in their ongoing struggles for equality you’re wrong and that is very much that.

The people who use terms like "woke" are the ones who are truly against free speech. It was ok for Piers Morgan to hammer Meghan Markle and Prince Harry everyday but the second they have their say they all kick off about it. Pure hypocrisy.

It baffles me that “woke” and “social justice warrior” are considered insults. If you are actively speaking out against the notion of social justice, maybe stop wondering why so many people are trying to “cancel” you.

For me, most woke people are just anti-bigot, and it is the bigot who objects to woke people the most. They don't like it when their hate is highlighted.
