I was just reading about him last night as a matter of fact, was released from Wigan and without a club at the moment. I have sympathy for anyone who suffers from substance abuse and would welcome him back to the club as a mentor once he fixes himself up, he could offer more than he ever did as a player.

Basically saying no accountability isn’t it. No fan of Jeffers either and people talk about respect, it’s a two way thing, if not a relationship should never get going.

Yes and some do, some men have ruined women’s lives too. What I don’t like is when it’s the norm to automatically side with a gender just because. It all feels so phoney. I shake my head as throughout life people meet worse or better characters than others regardless of race or gender.

His solicitor/barrister probably did ok as he would have been outside the remit of legal aid. The plea for this would have been very straight forward.

Had he been an average punter defending this, ie either low income or unemployed then it’s composite fee legal aid which is god awful.

I get that there’s much sympathy around for this

Such a shame, that kid genuinely was the "real deal"
