I'm just about ready to make my annual switch to the new version. Finally got bored of winning everything on FM2010, so ready for the new challenge.

Start with Everton; get frustrated. Then start again at the bottom and enjoy working my way up.

Taken Cambridge from Blue Square to top of league 1 so far. For the guys doing lower league teams buy Benjamin Siegrist from Villa, he is an amazing GK (4.5 stars at present) and you can get him for free.

I'm sure buying a load of wonderkids and building up a youthful squad was a good idea, but I wish I'd gone and dropped the next X years cash on a top striker now =\

One of the first things I do and continue doing over 2 or 3 seasons is:
Develop the trainning facilities to the best possible standards, sack the coaches and get decent ones in!
Scout all the best under 17's and develop them.
By the 5th or 6th season, I am awesome!

This is great to hear! I disliked having to go through pre-season of my second season with no training staff in contract though.

No, I won the league cup, FA cup and charity shield (that counts, ok). Certainly not ;)

Gona pick this up over the weekend. I think I better expect total addiction from next week. Some good shouts here too so I already know what players to buy. :D

Two games in my first season to go. Exceeded expectations by going on a great run. Won the League Cup 5-1 and have been sat in 2nd all season, however injuries and suspensions have hammered my squad and I'm likely to squeak 4th place behind Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. Also have the FA Cup final to go so it could be marked down as a huge success.

Cahill, Arteta (wide right) and Bily (wide left) have particularly impressed, as has Jose Baxter who bagged a goal a game on loan to S****horpe, and was used out of necessity when his loan expired - 8 goals in 10 games (6 starts). Mustafi, Bidwell and Barkley have all seen 1st team action as well.

Tricky job with little money, I picked up a few loan to buy prospects, none of whom have shone, got Dale Jennings on the cheap and loaned him out for experience, also signed Leigh Griffiths from Dundee who is a real prospect. Huge bonus was managing to persuade BK to buy Landon Donovan for me despite not having any money - 21 goals and 18 assists...he's done the business. Got Jenas and Charlie Adam in the transfer window £0 upfront, £2m over 4 years and have a few prospects coming in on free transfers in the summer.

Aiming to raid the Man City reserves for Adam Johnson, Micah Richards and Kompany in the summer (they've played a combined 6 games between them all season). Been a great start, rumours abound that Barca and Athletico want me if Pep or Flores don't renew their contracts. I'll stay loyal to Everton though, obviously :)

Good going dude , keep it up..

So I am starting from scratch! Bury in the 2nd. Any tips or free transfers?

Best thing to do mate is goto search for players , edit filters , contract status expired , go thru from back to front , , choose tackling , marking to 15 and the same for mid fielders and strikers . selecting the appropriate best strengths for the kind of player you are looking for..

I've been putting off buying this for a little while (nearly failed uni last year), but gave in to it last week. I went Aston Villa for my first go just to learn the ropes before moving down the divisions, theyre a good team to go by the way, you get about £22m to begin with. Anyway i finished 4th in my first season, winning the europa league. Now im in february 2012 and im a point behind city who are top with a game in hand and im on for a very optimistic quadruple. so not too shabby.

A couple of random tips:

1. If you have no idea what to do with training schedules then look here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCQhTRUhbOE

Its a custom set of training schedules that cover pretty much all areas and they improve your players fast. Its pretty straight forward to do, just follow the instructions on the vid.

Players:
Nothing new or unknown here........
but if you have a spare £20m to spend on a centre attacking mid then get eden hazard. In his first season for me he got on the bench for world team of the year, Scored about 15 and about the same with assists, he's a monster. He's improved loads too. He's 4* rising to 4.5* for me. about 7.6 av rating

Neymar, as above nothing new. Got him for around £18m. So far after just over half a season hes on about a 7.7 average rating, which is currently the 2nd best in the league behind ladyboy.

Matias defederico. Some of you guys may have heard of him, he was tipped to be a big star by four four two a year or so back and he was amazing on the last footy man. You can get him for between £5-8m and hes a 22 year old striker. He's only rated at 3* rising to 3.5* but hes so unbelievably underrated, hes got an average of around 7.6 for me and hes keeping ashley young out of the starting squad (almost equally adept at playing on either flank, as an inside forward) get him , you won't be dissappointed.

Diego renan. Best young right back ( can also play left back accomplished) on the game. rated about 3-3.5* rising to 4.5*. He's not the best tackler but he really is a bainesey for the right, good crossing, dribbling and fast. £10-£15m

Mentions:
Eljero elia. £15m great pace and dribbler. Has around 7.5 avg this season.
Dodo: 18 year old left back £2m. Very promising. 4* + potential.
Zezinho: 19 year old left winger. £3-6m 4* potential.

I hope this has been a help to someone and i haven't wasted too many people time with this post, just thought id share.
