To me this is potentially a good schedule. Plenty of chances to get points on the board early on in the season and get the new players (hopefully) or as good as new (Fifth coming of Mirallas etc. Integrated before a tough run. Those teams in December could have european distractions too...

Fixture list looks a lot better without the dross sides of last season in it. Much prefer games against Villa and Norwich than Huddersfield and Cardiff. It looks a better balanced league on paper this season than last.

No, it’s Friday according to the BBC website.

They couldn’t play Monday anyway as they have the Super Cup v Chelsea on the Wednesday.
Sorry I meant I don't think you can have both Friday and Monday games any weekend. Only one of them.

I was replying to someone asking when the Monday night game that weekend will be revealed.

The run of 4 games against the teams above us seems similar to last season. Hopefully we are in good form at these times. If we are going to challenge any of the teams above us we need to make the most of the first few games, which on paper, give us a real chance to be one of the early leaders! Can we find any consistency for more than a few games?

Im happy with the run of "top" teams together. It worked out well last year at home. We were in good form and took advantage. Even the away run of Arsenal, United, Chelsea, Liverpool warranted more than 1 point. I think it can be a good thing those two runs.
