I've been through all other AleHouse threads tonight, only answered to what I thought relevant, and this one is as it needs an answer.

Someone got it earlier, not spot on, but near enough, what actually happened, was that R and J were actually goldfish whose bowl was knocked over by an intruding dog. They died from asphyxiation.

these puzzles seem to be more like a Samantha Fox three piece jigsaw than anything challenging.
