Finishing Position

Come back and ask me after the next 6 matches.

Home: Southampton, Huddersfield, West Ham, Fulham
Away: Bournemouth, Arsenal.

There's a chance to get some real points on the board. A good start could do wonders for confidence, especially with Bernard and co, all coming in!

We will see mate. I am optimistic he wants to build something over a decent period of time, which considering he is only 41 isn't unreasonable. If he left us he really would have a rep as a nomad!
Honestly, it's the same as with Koeman. We really are the whole "best of the rest". In order for a player or manager to move up to a better team than where we are they need success here. It's a bit of a quandary. Either we do well and a couple if not a bunch of our players move on along with probably Silva or they all bomb and we sack Silva.

I think the Arsenal match could be huge in terms of momentum, a win here would give us such a boost of confidence, similar to when we won at Manure under Martinez. Top six is achievable.

It’s achievable if we take 12 points out of our next four matches, all of which should be won. However, we are STILL dealing with a makeshift lineup. Silva’s backline needs to be well organized. While I have no doubt Digne, Mina, Holgate will be an upgrade over the starters we deployed this weekend as individuals, I’m not sure when that is going to happen.

Expecting 12 points out of the next 5. That’s solid considering the team isn’t remotely settled. Any less and I’ll be disappointed though, most of the teams below us are fairly gash if we’re honest.

7th overall this year, then a push for top 6 next season.

I don't think they even need to implode.

I think below about the top 3, places are up for grabs, I think Citeh the RS and united won't be dislodged. I no longer look at our squad man for man and think it inferior to Arsenal, nor Spurs really, and Chelsea may still get stripped of Hazard and not be able to replace him.

None of that means we will, I'm just saying we could.

Big difference is though mate IMO, both Arsenal and Spurs still have more fire power than us.

That's where having someone like Brands in makes a difference. He will give us that long term element.

The Arsenal match away will tell us most of we need to know about where things stand. Both sides should be clicking at that point and we’ll see where we are in relation.
