It's nothing more than pandering to bigots like James McLean.
if you're gonna make allegations like that at least produce some evidence

Please retract that statement about my honorable Fenian brother and no further action will be taken
I'm more than happy to retract the statement but it appears that it has achieved it's objective of winding people up, so I'm not sure if I want to Prev lol
Perhaps he was paying his respects to the Argentinean servicemen who died in the Falklands. It amazes me really. The premiership is full of players from all over the world, who all -bar one- respect and understand the teason behind the poppy. Even last Sunday, Funes Mori respected the minutes silence even though his country was at war with Britain as recent as 1982.

But yea on topic, wear a poppy if you want, don't if you don't want to. Dont have a go at anyone who does and don't have a go if someone chooses not to. I personally will wear one as I always do over remembrance weekend but I feel respectful silence and contemplation is as valid an act of remembrance.
I don't care if McLean doesn't want to wear one. Up to him. My actual gripe with him is using our youth set up in the north for years right up to 21s and then buggering off. If you're gonna defect at least don't sponge off us first!! Were broke enough as it is lol
if you have to resort to accusations of bigotry to attempt to wind people up then you need to grow up son.
Possibly, and quite rightly so matey, but I thought it was a British remembarence.Perhaps he was paying his respects to the Argentinean servicemen who died in the Falklands.
Leave it Squonk, he's a good kid
