You obviously watch a totally different everton mate, 1st you say when Arteta is on form he doesnt control our games which is clearly not the case. 99% of anything good goes through Arteta and he has totally controlled the pace of a game on many an occasion.
2nd Manny on a par with Arteta, based on what exactly?
3rd He has a very poor attitude from last summer to him crying off after 10 mins against citeh when someone dared challenge him
I don't watch a different Everton to you I'm just realistic. I know for a fact that none of our midfielders control games because we play hoofball. There's only so much they can see of it. Arteta is very capable of controling a game as is Manny in my opinion but they have to be given the ball to feet to have any chance.
Alot of our chances do come from Arteta but over 90 minutes he doesn't dictate games. He gives you nice plays over 90 minutes but he isn't doing it continually and getting on the ball all the time because of the hoofing. Fabregas controls games for Arsenal, Scholes controls games for Man utd but Arteta doesn't not control games for us and neither do any of our midfielders. Its pretty clear in the fact that we never dominate possession. If we did we'd have someone like Arteta dictating the game.
I base my opinion on watching them both. This season has obvioulsy been hard for both of them. Both have had problems with fitness and niggling injuries. On the 10 games they played together last season they looked at each others level. Two quality footballers giving us another dimension. I feel they are on each others level but they've never been give us a long season together to make it clear who is actually better.
Fernandes definatly has more potential. He has more to his game and if he devlops those attributes will be a step above Arteta. Technically they are very similar, they both have silky skills but Fernandes edges it in physical abilities and passing. He's also 4 years younger and has alot more time on his side. But saying all this though there different. Arteta is a better winger whereas Manny is a better centre midfielder.
Your comments on his attitude are opinion and that is all. No one knows what happened in the summer so I'm not going to comment on it and the fact that you never give the facts proves you don't know anything. He was blatently injured against City. If got taken from the side, tried to run if off and couldn't. Nothing wrong with that. If he'd have stayed on the pitch he could have cost us a goal. He was also our for 3 weeks after the injury.
