Fellaini

best situation for the club is to keep felli and baines, flog jelly, heitinga and gueye for a combined £10 mil and hopefully RM has a good £20 mil or so to bring in a ST and CM

give jelavic till january at least mate. he's a natural poacher, maybe a new boss would install him with some confidence and he may not be required to run the flanks and instead will stand in the box and poke home his chances. other two need to go though

Problem is we need to expand our squad.

we could do that with 1 or 3 free's mate+ money next season but for this one I think the best path to go down is tie baines down to a new deal, keep felli for atleast one more season and sell the 3 I mentioned and bring in players like:

Bony: £10 mil
Mccarthy: £7 mil
Lescott: £3 mil

Won't get £10mill for them 2,4/5million at best!

gueye could go for 1 mil, heitinga 2-3 mil and jelly could still fetch 5-6 mil from a PL team, its why its best getting rid now as if he flops again start of the season his price tag will fall completely we still have his record from last season as a bargain tool

same point I argued about rodwell, we sold at the best time as whilst others said wait for another season incase his injury problems pick up but we would of seen his price tag fall even further

I think Jelli will come good under new manager, with new tactics his goals last season were of a natural finisher, you don't lose that over a season. Two up front will bring him back on blob IMO.

do you really want a guy who when his confidence is low playing THAT bad? he was shocking this year mate not just finishing wise but his all round game was shocking would rather get rid tbh

yeah, that's why we have to give him a chance until jan to prove his worth. he looked a bargain for his first few months, and then gash for the next part. there's no harm in a new manager with different tactics to give him a chance until jan just to see which is the real jelavic.

a lot of players have bad patches, it happens

we cant afford to keep a player who may turn his form around, end of the day he was prolific in the SPL and is croatia's 3rd choice striker, for me that suggests his form this season is more representative that a few months last season, same way cisse has dropped form whereas Ba continued his form into this season. If someone offered £6 mil+ I would snap their hands off think we can do better than him

Ooh I dunno about that. There's a pretty convincing argument that Martinez could well use Jelavic differently to Moyes. I think Martinez will want to keep the squad together as much as possible, but if there are players moved on I hope Jelavic isn't one of them. Everyone has a price tho of course.

Oh yeah Fellaini, strangely I think he'll still be with us next season.

Moyes couldn't get best out of any foward he signed over a long perio,he made them all work channels, most of time as lone foward, making them goosed most of time.

tbh If we got offered 24 million for Fellanini plus add ons. I would take it, IF we actually used the money. I know Fellaini is in another class to most of our team, but he didn't do as well as he could have in the 2nd half of the season. IMO Baines would be a bigger miss to the team than Fellaini.

Yeah there was an article recently about his tactic of making strikers run to the corners (to create space for players behind like felli). Martinez might just let him prowl around the box, waiting for his moment to slot like a muthafcuker
