Fellaini

Let the bidding begin. But knowing Kenwright, it'll stay at 22 million and the difference will be who buys more tickets to one of his plays.

They've never been poor mate. Wengers reluctant to spend. That's why I said they'll decline until he goes.

From which ever way you look at they´re in a whole other ball park than us financially (so are Stoke and Sunderland by the way).

I agree mate. Said so earlier. Football isn't played on balance sheets though and there's a fair chance they'll only spend a similar amount to us this summer. That weren't really the debate though.

If they do and we get the better players it wouldn't shock me to see us get above them or very, very close.

its known some of the bookies release false information to swing the odds

seems a bigger issue when they are linked to a news channel though, I have never really understood how that isn't conflict of interest

I'd love Fellaini to stay, but I see this as being different than Rooney, Lescott and Arteta in the past.

When we signed the deal with him, and allowed his agent to put in that clause, we lost all control over the situation. Unlike the others named, who may or may not have wanted to go depending on who you believe, if Fellaini goes this time, it will be because he wants to go. Just because someone activates the clause doesn't mean he automatically goes. It's likely, but it will be Fellaini's decision.

Maybe in future we should not agree to the insertion of these clauses at all, it should be club policy, but if you recall when Fellaini signed his new contract in November 2011, we were 16th in the league at the time, on a terrible run of form, morale was low, and Everton were desperate to ward off interest, hence they agreed to Fellaini's agents' terms.

There can't be a bidding war, his asking price is fixed at £22m for a top 4 club and £24m for a club outside the top 4.

Once they bid the minimum, that's it. No one can gazump anyone, they only need to bid the minimum.

this summers dealings will make or break martinez IMO, if he uses the £20 mil from the felli deal and the £5 mil+ from the board wisely and gets us 2-3 top class players then the fans will be made up, if he spends it on ****e then I think the fans will get on his back if we do bad in the season

Fellaini is a brilliant player, simple as that. On his day, unstoppable. But he's the only player in the squad that can be sold for a mega fee that we can replace.

Im dreading who martinez signs tbh im terrified of seeing some of the ****e teams like sunderland, stoke, fulham, wigan etc. spend when they have money being brought here, Moyes had his faults but 1 or 2 aside you had faith in him buying good players

If he goes(which is most likely) then let's sell him before the end of June with plenty of time to replace... none of this last week in August malarkey.
