Fellaini

In the interview on Everton TV kenwright says all the players are tied down on good contracts with one exception.
Reckon he's talking about heitinga not fellaini as the one to leave.

Bill's made very sure everyone's aware of Fellaini's clause, mentioning it at both the presser and the individual interview. I think there's a good chance we're hoping to sell him to fund the majority of whoever Martinez wants to bring in. I don't mind that, really, but we have to be so, so careful as to who we recruit. The last big asset we were able to sell without the fee being conveniently soaked up was Lescott, and Moyes bought:

Distin - excellent buy
Heitinga - hit and miss, mostly miss
Bilyaletdinov - massive flop

That was 2009. We'd just finished 5th. A replacement for Lescott plus a quality midfielder and winger were what we needed to push on, but we didn't buy wisely. Fellaini's probably our last significant asset. Baines is obviously top class, but he'll be 29 next year and not likely to command a fee of over £10m (I imagine Barkley might be someone we sell for big money in a few years).

Selling Fellaini, along with the significant reduction in our wage bill this year, should allow us to find a CM replacement and also add two-three more good players to the squad. It's absolutely vital Martinez gets this right, as it will effectively determine the type of job he'll have to do over the next few years.

Kenwrights a fool for letting have felli have a release clause of 24 mil when your a club that relys on selling to buy you dont put the release clause of your most valuable player at that should of been 28 mil+

On sky sports, its says the release clause is 15 million, hope its wrong and its a misprint

"If I do end up leaving, it would be up to the club to decide on the price. I have all sorts of clauses in my contract, but there is no fixed fee for releasing me".- Fellaini

The Spaniard has already had talks with Kenwright to discuss the future of the club and although the chairman's words were largely encouraging, he admitted Belgium international Fellaini could leave if he invokes his £15m release clause.
"He talked about a couple of new signings and he talked about the squad and asked 'Do they need to go?'" Kenwright said of his discussions with Martinez.
"I said 'No, they absolutely do not have to go', (although) there is one (Fellaini) that has a get-out, which everyone knows."
