Fellaini wants to leave Everton?

Let's be realistic a second here. If Fellaini does leave it should be for not a penny under 20m, and hopefully more.

20m would buy us a top quality striker, a right winger plus a right back. We'd come away from the deal a much better squad for it.

That said, I am sure we'd all rather Fellaini stayed and we got rid of somebody else instead (if we have to keep on selling players), i.e. Heitinga next summer. Trouble is we'll soon be running out of players to get rid of - Jagielka is past his high sell-on value now, same with Distin, Heitinga won't command much, Baines looks like he'll stay here for rest of his career, Pienaar too old, Barkley totally unproven, Howard not much.

Jelavic is probably the only other 15m player we have in the squad, and selling him leaves us with no strikers.

Whether or not you believe him, LCAB said a few months ago that Fellaini has a buyout clause in his contract of somewhere around £25m.

Sincerely doubt we'll be looking at much more than that.

I'm not sure that necessarily means he "has a buyout clause in his contract of somewhere around £25m", personally.

Although I'd be surprised if we got any more than that off a club. Not because he isn't worth it, just because we're Everton.

Why do these players have to wait till a team is making a great start to the season, nice and settled before jumping in and saying they want to leave? Could he not have waited, or, said this before the season kicks off. 2 decent games and he thinks he's Messi.

Fellaini is at fault here......he should be professional enough to know when he should keep his mouth shut.
I think we all knew he was going to leave sooner rather than later and if he got a move to say ,Real Madrid for a big fee ,most of us would wish him well. His agents will be sounding out interest in him from clubs around Europe over the next number of months,Fellaini does not need to advertise himself publicly.

I expect we will have some on here suggesting that the club and Bill Kenwright in particluar are to blame for this.
The club is always bigger than any player, and will continue to be so.
If Fellaini leaves it will leave transfer fees for the manager to bring in other talented young players.

They are, because if we had investment we wouldn't constantly be selling players to *big* clubs.

There's a structural problem at Everton and that failed board of parasites at the helm made it.

Who do you think the manager will be when Felli leaves?

Also, interesting to see Felli say that he prefers the no 8 role ( box to box midfielder )

1) moyes contract also runs out in the summer if fellaini is sold it could be the final straw for moyes aswell.
2) Why do people assume teams like real madrid are going to come in for him, is he really the "game changer" where loads of teams will start a bidding war for him.

xabi alonso is there sitting midfielder and unless fellaini suddenly has the vision, of the 40-50 yard passes or vision he has I cant see morinio going out of his way to get him.
and I cant see him replacing cristiano ronaldo or benzema upfront either,

fellaini isnt the type of player mamangers will go to their chairman and say "I need this guy in my team at all costs" like modric and van persie were

Interesting in that interview that Fellaini see's himself as a box to box No.8 type midfielder as opposed to the No.10 role he has been playing for us recently.

That's a statement I fully agree with...
Gibson the No.4 type defensive midfielder
Fellaini the No.8 type box to box
Any one of prob Naismith - mirallas - osman - Barkley the No.10 type ACM.

Exactly the argument I was having yesterday with that lad who insists he's best up top. Glad Fellaini agrees with me... but I'm sure that Animal Farm lad will still disagree!
