Fellaini to Chelsea, says his Dad?

You know what though, this is exactly the reason why football is crap nowadays. It's impossible to be a fan of a player because of this.

I support Everton and whoever wears the Blue at the time, but I've long since learned not to get a players name on the back of a shirt.

I'm pretty sure I remember his Dad making them quotes a year or so ago....As has been pointed out, he's worth a helluva lot of money if Chelsea think Torres is worth £50 m...

Contracts are worth about as much as the pen used to sign them these days & we may very well end up selling in the future, but using old quotes is a favourite pastime of bored journos in the context of this article. Those comments were indeed made what seemed like months after he signed rather than the last week or so. We're in a weak position regardless, but so were Liverpool & Utd with Torres & Ronaldo respectively- even so it would be a real shame to lose the player. Felli hasn't or won't say anything anytime soon not that it would matter if he did, as ultimately players will do what's best for them these days contract or no contract. When they are ready to go they will be off, granted understanding our financial position may dictate this is sooner rather than later.

EDIT Sorry Tubey you've basically said the same :)

Spot on FugginGerryn, this is an old quote from his dad. Typical lazy journalism from The People puttin a new and old story together to make it look news worthy.

That shouldn't surprise you Tubey knowing how delayed most of their 'football news' is anyway.

They all syndicate it from news outlets. There's very little true reporting anymore.

I'd be surprised if it is a recycled old quote though. I expect that it's the agent just trotting out what he's said before.

Actually, if you read what the agent says, he's talking about Fellaini's ability. He hasn't said anything about Fellaini going, he's just saying Fellaini is turning heads because he's playing well.

I thought that.

Isn't it just a dad saying his sons boss at footy?
