Difficult to decide on the players I haven't seen. I became a blue as a nipper when my Grandma told me about Dixie and the cup in 1933 (me arl fella is a RS who stopped going the match in the 60s so thank Christ he had no input). Loved her stories about our 1st number 9, but overall would have to pick Alan Ball. Some of the lads I go the match with are old enough to have seen him play and rave about him, one of them still gets emotional when he recalls the Cat selling him to Arsenal.
Players I've seen - loved Sheeds as a kid, also though Tricky Trev was ace (especially on the occasions he played CM), Southall was the best keeper I've ever seen bar none, but overall I'd say Kanchelskis. When he got the ball, something would happen.
Current player - Baines, by a country mile. Best LB I've had the pleasure of watching, local lad with great attitude. And very nice hair.
